Vishwas M

Vishwas M. is an acclaimed Indian contemporary painter whose career spans over two decades of deep engagement with the natural and spiritual landscapes of South India. Born in 1983 and based in Kasaragod, Kerala, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Srujana Fine Arts College and a five-year specialization in painting from the Mahalasa College of Visual Arts. His artistic journey is defined by his celebrated Whispering Wonders solo exhibition series, which has been showcased at prestigious venues including the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore and the Nehru Center in Mumbai. His technical mastery and evocative style have earned him numerous accolades, such as the Honorable Mention from the Kerala Lalithkala Academy and top horons at National Painting Camps in Ujjain and Himachal Pradesh.

 

A prolific contributor to the contemporary art scene, Vishwas has participated in over 50 group exhibitions and international festivals, ranging from the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai to the India International Spiritual Art Festival. His work is characterized by a seamless blend of traditional discipline and modern abstraction, a result of his extensive involvement in national workshops and residency programs. Today, his paintings are held in esteemed private and gallery collections across the globe, including Singapore, Spain, Australia, Qatar, and Dubai, as well as prominent Indian galleries like OED Gallery and Mahua Art Gallery.
